Altsourcemfg is a contract manufacturing company based in Bend, Or, specializing in
medical device mfg. Altsourcemfg provides a reliable, cost-effective adjunct to your own
manufacturing and/or supply chain expertise.
Altsourcemfg has a combined total of 40 years experience in the medical device
manufacturing business.
Established in 2005, altsourcemfg was founded to meet the growing needs of companies
seeking to outsource domestically a portion/all of their manufacturing operations.
Management
Christine Davis-Kellerman
Partner
Christine has over 13 years experience in the medical device manufacturing industry. She
has held management and director positions at Boston Scientific Corp, Kyphon,
Percusurge/Medtronics, and Conceptus, in the fields of customer service, master scheduling,
purchasing, and global supply chain. During her tenures at Boston Scientific, Percusurge
and Conceptus she was closely involved in the outsourcing and transfer of device
manufacturing to domestic and international locations. Her experience in these positions
has provided her a broad exposure with which she has become proficient at understanding
manufacturer’s internal operations requirements, as well as the importance and role of their
external customer relationships.
Ross Tsugita
Partner
Ross has over 15 years experience designing and developing medical devices for the
interventional and surgical markets. He has spent the last 5 years building a successful
consulting business, ENDO Consulting, working with small venture back companies and large
multi-national medical device corporations on projects ranging from new product design to
supporting existing commercial products. In addition to consulting, Ross held management
positions at small pre-IPO companies, IMETR-X, Inc and EMBOL-X, Inc. His responsibilities
involved managing product development teams that successfully designed and developed
novel therapeutic and diagnostic devices from concept to clinicals. One notable project
included distal protection systems for percutaneous interventional procedures. The project
and intellectual property rights were acquired by Boston Scientific Corporation in June 2000.
Previous to these experiences, Mr. Tsugita spent nearly 2 years in Operations at Target
Therapeutics working with Manufacturing and R&D on product transfers and line support. He
moved to Target Therapeutics from R&D at Abbott Laboratories (Hospital Product Division),
where he developed a proprietary polymeric coating systems for Continuous Cardiac Output
pulmonary artery catheters. Ross has a broad background in R&D and operations working at
small and large companies. His list accomplishments also include over 25 issued US patents
and 4 published scientific peer review papers.
Joseph S Kellerman
Managing Partner
Joe has more than 15 years experience in medical device manufacturing, holding positions
as Materials Manager for Boston Scientific and Supplier Quality Engineer at Target
Therapeutics. Joe is proficient in all areas relating to material handling ranging from
warehousing to distribution, and in quality control disciplines such as part inspection, MRB,
and supplier qualification and monitoring. Joe also has experience developing ISO
compliant process documentation, and has worked closely with several auditing regulatory
organizations, giving him a keen focus on quality systems and documentation.
